Extractions

Home - Drummoyne Dentist - General and Emergency Dentist

Sometimes there is nothing that we can do to save a tooth and it has to be extracted. Extractions are usually painless. You may feel pushing or pulling however you should not feel pain. Sometimes, the patient has left the infection there for a long time and there is so much pus that the anaesthetic does not work well. When this happens, we may prescribe antibiotics first and then perform the extraction at a later date when anaesthesia can be achieved.
